Hi everyone. This is just a quick note to let you know that Hubie Sounds is taking a short break. There will be no show tonight, nor in three weeks’ time on the 14th of May. However the show will return to NSB Radio on Tuesday 28th of May so I hope you can join me then.
In the meantime, if you’re in need of a Hubie fix (and let’s be honest who isn’t?), I’ll be knocking together an all too rare promo mix over the coming weeks, so keep an eye and an ear out for that!

Hubie Sounds is back on NSB Radio this Tuesday with another show chock full of bass and beats for your lovely ears. As well as the usual eclectic selection, this week I’ll be presenting one of my favourite features – the record label showcase – focusing on the great purveyor of tech funk and breaks, Lot49 Records.
I’ll be spinning a selection of my favourite Lot49 releases from over the years, with tunes by the likes of Elite Force and Lee Coombs, as well as label founding fathers Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes.

Hi gang. Hubie Sounds is back on NSB Radio this Tuesday with the first Bass[sic] Session of 2013!
As many of you are no doubt already aware, I moonlight as the co-promoter and resident DJ of popular East London bass music night Bass[sic] and we’re throwing our biggest party yet this Easter weekend at the Bells Of Shoreditch, with special guest DJs Meat Katie and Peo de Pitte! Hello peeps. Hubie Sounds hits the NSB Radio interwaves this Tuesday with Part 2 of my Roots Of Breakbeat special. Last time around I kicked off in the 70s with classic funk and soul from the likes of James Brown, Parliament and Curtis Mayfield, before moving into the early 80s with groundbreaking electro and hip hop by the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash and Run DMC.
This time around I’ll be concluding the special with old skool hip hop, early rave and big beat by the likes of De La Soul, Kurtis Mantronik, The Prodigy, The Freestylers and loads more! If you’re a fan of classic dance music you’re gonna love this!

Hey gang. London party institution Rockit Science has just turned the grand old age of 5 (quite an achievement in this day and age, as 5 club years is equal to about 50 in human years), so they’re celebrating by throwing the mother of all birthday bashes this Saturday at the Lockside Lounge in Camden.
The party is being headlined by disco mash-up maestro Leo Zero with a cracking supporting cast made up of The101Connection, Quaint, Collins303, Ryu Rockit and some bloke called Hubie. Expect to hear plenty of disco, funk, electro and general party bangers to keep you partying ’til the wee small hours.
