I’m taking a week off this week, re-fitting my ‘studio’/spare room with new furniture and stuff, so there won’t be a Hubie Sounds Lock-In on Cutters Choice Radio today. Sorry about that.

Just a quick note to say I’ve been struck down by a debilitating lurgy the last few days so unfortunately I won’t be able to do my show tonight.
It’s a massive shame because I had some ace tunes lined up for it, but at the moment my body feels like That ’80s Guy in Futurama after his boneitis kicked in, so it’s not gonna happen. Many apologies.
Once I make a full recovery, I’ll be back on the air in full safety-dancing health, with a special end-of-year show for you in a couple of weeks. ‘Til then, keep it schwifty.
Apologies for the lack of noise from me recently. As you’ll recall, tech-gremlins got the best of me and forced me to cancel my last show. I’ve now realised that I won’t be able to do my next couple of shows as well, the first of which is meant to go out tonight (UK time).
This is totally down to me getting my dates muddled and forgetting that I have to be somewhere that’s not broadcast-compatible, so please accept my super-massive apologies for that. As my friends from across the pond tend to say: my bad. To which I’ll add another ‘super’ because I am, like, super sorry (and I like Superbad, it’s an ace movie).
I’ll do my best to be back on the air in about a month’s time. In the meantime, I’m sure you’re all aware there is always something amazing to listen to on NSB Radio, especially when I’m not involved! But if you are dying for a Hubie Sounds fix, there’s bound to be a past show that you haven’t heard before, and most of them can be found in the NSB Radio archives. Go have a rummage on my Mixcloud too, see what you can find.

As I mentioned in my last show, I’m taking a short break from NSB Radio in order to pop back to kiwiland to allow my girlfriend to make an honest fella out of me.
I should be back on air in late February/early March. I’m sure there will be some quality cover shows airing in my absence, if not the mighty Archive Robot will spring into action to satisfy your aural needs.

Hi gang. Due to some family commitments I have to take a short break from musical shenanigans this month.

Hi everyone. Rather annoyingly, I’ve been struck down with man-flu to the extent that I’ve gone deaf in one ear, lost my voice and my head generally feels like it’s been shrunk to about a tenth its normal size.

There will be an excellent cover show in my stead no doubt, so make sure you tune into NSB Radio anyway. And in the meantime, my technical staff will be dragging the gremlin-infested hardware out to a remote field and exacting sweet, violent retribution upon it. That will learn it.
Morning all. I have some exciting news… due to the mercurial Neymar breaking his backside at the World Cup, I have been called up by the Brazillian FA as emergency cover for tonight’s semi-final against Germany. To say this has come as a shock would be understating things somewhat, especially considering I’m not Brazillian and I am about as useful with a football as Fred’s moustache.
But who am I to question the wisdom of Big Phil Scolari? Keep an eye out for me kicking my heels on the bench tonight, I’ll be the one who bizarrely resembles Victor, or Thiago, or any one of the players who doesn’t get a run out whilst valiantly losing to the Germans on penalties…
Anyway, the upshot of all of this is I won’t be able to broadcast my show tonight. But fear not, there will be some quality cover action taking place in my stead, so I hope you can tune into NSB Radio as per usual. It will no doubt be the perfect soundtrack to tonight’s footballing shenanigans.
Speaking of my show, I will be taking a short break from the radio over the next few weeks as I pack up my studio and move to another radio dungeon. All being well, assuming I don’t lose all my CDs and records en route and the Interweb Fairy doesn’t faff about too much whilst setting up my new connection, I should be back on the air sometime in August.
In the meantime, much like tonight, the usual brilliant DJs on the NSB Radio roster will be covering my absence with some quality beats, so you won’t even notice I’m gone!
