Hi everyone.
If you tuned into my last show and you’ve been keeping an eye on my socials recently, you’ll no doubt be aware that I’ve decided to call time on Hubie Sounds on NSB Radio. I’ve decided after about nine years and 140+ shows on the station it’s time to move on and make way for new talent to fill my slot, so to speak (ooer).
So this Tuesday I’m presenting my final show on NSB Radio. I’ll be taking a wander down memory lane and digging out favourite tunes and highlights from the last nine years as I go along. There will be some awesome music from the realms of breaks, house, hip hop, funk, soul + more for your ears, plus a few fun surprises too. I hope you can all join me for the farewell mashup, I’m sure it will be lots of fun.

After easing you into 2018 with the laid back, chilled grooves of my last show, this time around I’m going to push the tempo up to party speed with the first half of a mix I put together for New Years Eve.
This mix is crammed with familiar cuts from the realms of hip hop, disco, house, breaks & more, including favourites by the likes of Beastie Boys, Blondie, Plump DJs, Groove Armada & lots more. Happy New Year everyone.
I trust you had a pleasant and fulfilling festive period. I certainly did… plenty of booze and tasty foods were consumed, maybe a little too much, as is tradition.
So, for my first show of the year, I’m easing into 2018 with two hours of laid back grooves from the realms of reggae, funk, soul, jazz and disco. This should be a decent winter warm up for your ears – the aural equivalent of curling up in front of a crackling fireplace, clutching a steaming hot cup of whatever you fancy.

Hi gang.
After a bit of a break from radio shizzle I’m back on NSB Radio tonight with a show crammed with ace new tunes and classics.
I’ve also got an Artist Showcase, this time focusing on New York duo Walker & Royce, who have been tearing up the house circuit with their unique brand of bassy, tech house joints.
Last week they released their debut album Self Help on Dirtybird to rave reviews, and I’ll be presenting a selection of choice cuts from that album, as well as a few tunes from their ever expanding and impressive back catalogue.

Hi gang.
Apologies for the lack of noise from me recently. As you’ll recall, tech-gremlins got the best of me and forced me to cancel my last show. I’ve now realised that I won’t be able to do my next couple of shows as well, the first of which is meant to go out tonight (UK time).
This is totally down to me getting my dates muddled and forgetting that I have to be somewhere that’s not broadcast-compatible, so please accept my super-massive apologies for that. As my friends from across the pond tend to say: my bad. To which I’ll add another ‘super’ because I am, like, super sorry (and I like Superbad, it’s an ace movie).
I’ll do my best to be back on the air in about a month’s time. In the meantime, I’m sure you’re all aware there is always something amazing to listen to on NSB Radio, especially when I’m not involved! But if you are dying for a Hubie Sounds fix, there’s bound to be a past show that you haven’t heard before, and most of them can be found in the NSB Radio archives. Go have a rummage on my Mixcloud too, see what you can find.

Hi everyone.
You might have noticed recently that Hip Hop has been celebrating its 40th Anniversary – apparently that’s its official age, although I have a feeling the true year of its origin is open to debate. Anyway, as a big fan of hip hop myself, I’m going to join in the celebrations and dedicate my latest show to all things phunky and fresh with a Classic Hip Hop Special.
I know there’s a lot of hip hop to cover over the last four decades, so I’ll do my best to cram as many bona fide bombs into two hours as possible!

I’m back on the NSB Radio interwaves tonight with another show packed with banging beats and the occasional mumble on the microphone.
This time around I’ve got lots quality, fresh new tuna for your ears, including a celebration of the 22nd anniversary re-release of Leftfield‘s seminal dance music masterpiece Leftism, featuring brand-spanking new remixes of tracks from the album by the likes of Skream and Ben Sims, as well as one or two originals just for good measure.
