Hubie Sounds with Special Guest Catch23 this Sat Night!

1 April, 2009

Hi everyone!

This week on Hubie Sounds I will be joined by an absolute legend in breakbeat circles, Catch23! Some of you might know him as Adam G or Mr Moneyshot or formerly as a member of Slackshot. As well as being a talented DJ and promoter, Catch23 represents some of the hottest talent in dance music, managing the likes of Jay Cunning, Rico Tubbs, Breakspoll award-winner Lady Waks and exciting new act 2 Bit Thugs. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Catch23, feel free to check out his new Myspace page right here:

Anyway, this Saturday night Catch23 and his crew will be joining us in Hubie Sounds Studios for two hours of musical mashup madness, so expect to hear loads of fresh exclusive tunes and of course plenty of japery and jokes that Adam is so well known for in some circles 😉

So come and check us out, this Saturday 4th April @ 8pm GMT, live and direct on Brap FM!

Hubie Sounds with Mr No Hands Breakspoll Mix This Sat Night!

18 March, 2009

Howdy peeps, hope you’re well 🙂

Hubie Sounds is back on the interweb Brapwaves this Saturday night and we have a couple of nice surprises in store for you! Firstly, I have the honour of broadcasting Mr No Hands‘ DJ set from Breakspoll a few weeks ago. Now, I should point out that this set wasn’t recorded live at Fabric, but instead Mr No Hands has kindly re-recorded it especially for the listeners of Hubie Sounds. You lucky lucky people!

Regular listeners to Hubie Sounds will already be familiar with Mr No Hands, but for those of you who want to know more about him, you can check out these sites for further info…

The second surprise is, we will be joined in the studio by a super special mystery guest. I am not allowed to tell you who it is but all I will say is, if you’re a fan of breakbeat you will be generally very excited to hear this person spin some tunes on Saturday night 😉

And of course the lovely VoodooAngel will be hosting the chatroom as usual so make sure you come in and say hello!

So come and check us out, this Saturday 21st March @ 8pm GMT, live and direct on Brap FM!

Hubie Sounds with Special Guest Peo de Pitte This Sat Night!

5 March, 2009

Alright peeps!

I trust you’re more or less fully recovered from the debauchery of breakspoll last week? Well, regardless of whether you are or not, it’s time for you to get your interweb dancing shoes on once again cos Hubie Sounds is back on air this Saturday night!

And this week I’m honoured to be joined by Flat Out records boss and all round tip top fella, the sweetest of swedes, Mr Peo de Pitte! Peo’s in town to promote the latest release on Flat Out, the rather cracking ‘Bringing’ by Marcus Rombo which was released just yesterday. Read on for more info…

Marcus Rombo – Bringing (Released 4th March 2009)

Flatout couldn’t resist a housier tip this time after stumbling Swede Marcus Rombo.

Marcus Rombo, one half of the Swedish production duo Yeah! Woohoo!, and responsible for several well received bootleg remixes in 2008 supported by everyone from Herve to Annie Mac delivers “Bringing”, the first track produced under his own name.

To this we have added a thumping breaks-baltimore remix from International man of Mystery, Peo ‘de Pitte’. Leo Nathorst from Boeoes Kaelstigen goes for another direction and delivers us a fantastic bigroom version.

* Mixmag Single of the Month!
* M8 – Breaks Section 7/8
* M8 – Electro Section 6/8

Support from Fake Blood, Sinden, Plump DJs, Drumattic Twins, Baobinga, General Midi, NAPT and many, many more!

For more info about Peo, Flat Out and Marcus Rombo check out their myspaces here:
