Hi everyone.
I’m very proud to be involved with another cracking Bank Of Switches party this weekend. This time around the ‘Switches crew are combining their powers with the legendary Meat Katie and his brand spanking new Lowering The Tone label and podcast project to bring a DJ battle lineup of awesome proportions to the streets of Shoreditch.
Joining the main man Meat Katie in the Lowering The Tone corner we have Matt ‘Dopamine’ Goddard and Ben Coda. And in the Bank Of Switches corner we have head honcho Big Nick D, plus MeatTransmission Radio‘s Johnny Hunter, as well as yours truly rounding off the bill.
There will be house and techno and, no doubt, plenty of happy smiling faces on the dancefloor – you have been warned!

The idea is to throw a party that’s casual and fun in an intimate venue, with the emphasis on good music, old and new, from the realms of hip hop, house and breaks.

Hi gang. Tonight on NSB Radio I’m going to focus on some of the fresher beats that have been getting my booty shaking in recent months, as well as my usual eclectic selection of old skool classics.
As part of this I’m going to present a showcase of tunes from one of my favourite new(ish) labels – Perfect Driver Music. Based in Los Angeles, this label was set up in 2012 by Matthew Anthony and features an excellent roster of artists such as Aaron Snapes and Mark Starr. Much like fellow California-based label Dirtybird, Perfect Driver’s ethos is firmly based on fun, party vibes, with nods to hip hop culture and the broader bass music family.
Whether you’re a house-head or a breaks-head, if you like your beats wide and varied, you’re gonna love this label’s output.

Hi gang. Firstly I’d just like to say a big thank you to those of you who came down to The Souls in Hackney last week for Bank Of Switches. We had loads of fun, we hope you did too.
Now, like London buses, gigs for me don’t come very often but when they do they seem to hit me with a frequency not unlike punches thrown in a Manny Pacquiao fight. Which brings me to the purpose of today’s post…

Alright you lovely lot. As I mentioned on my show the other night, I’m honoured to be playing at my good pal Big Nick D‘s night, Bank Of Switches, once again this Saturday night.

Just letting you know that the venerable institution that is NuSkoolBreaks.co.uk (enter at your own peril, thar be breakbeat purists, etc, etc) has just hit the milestone of 10 years of age. And accordingly, the fine Captains of NSB are throwing a birthday party this Saturday on the waters of the Thames here in London.
