Good morning crew.
I’m back on NSB Radio tonight with another edition of your favourite Hobbit-hosted musical radio show. Of course I’m being presumptuous, for all I know this might be only your third favourite Hobbit-hosted musical radio show. And if that’s the case I’d better raise my game…
Which is just as well because this week’s show is a proper game changer. Well, it’s going to be quite fun anyway. With nice musics and stuff. Well, there will be music of some sort, that’s a guarantee. Mostly hip hop, house, breaks, that kind of thing. Tune in and have a listen, see what you think. Today could be the day I climb up your rankings to second favourite Hobbit-hosted musical radio show. I can dream, anyway.

Hubie Sounds is back on air this Tuesday night and we’ve got yet another action packed show in store for you. As well as the usual selection of fresh new tunes, we’re pleased to welcome back the Hubie Loves… feature, where this time we’ll be focusing on the Australian troubadours of tech funk, The Loops Of Fury.
And, as mentioned last week, we’ll also be running a competition where you have the chance to win a signed copy of the uber-limited edition Hybrid remixes album Reappear Here.

This Tuesday night we’ll be presenting a special bonus edition of Hubie Sounds that we have cunningly titled Hubie Sounds Extra! It will be fairly similar to the usual Hubie Sounds, but with a bit more of an eclectic feel, so expect to hear music old and new, from right across the musical spectrum – breaks, house, hip hop, electro, funk, bluegrass, rockabilly… you name it, we’ll probably spin it!

Hey peeps!
Apologies once again for getting my schedule times mixed up last week. I can assure you I’ve banished all the gremlins from my brain now, so I’m pleased to announce that we will be returning to the internet airwaves for the first Hubie Sounds of 2010 this Tuesday night (please ignore the date in the artwork above, I haven’t had a chance to update it!)
So, to remind you what’s going down, here’s all you need to know…
To celebrate the ringing in of a new year and a new decade, we here at Hubie Sounds have decided to kick off 2010 by having a look back at a selection of our favourite tunes of the past year. We’ll be spinning some of the best tunes of 2009 by the likes of Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Elite Force, General MIDI, Peo de Pitte, Plaza de Funk and many more.

This week on Hubie Sounds I will be joined by an absolute legend in breakbeat circles, Catch23! Some of you might know him as Adam G or Mr Moneyshot or formerly as a member of Slackshot. As well as being a talented DJ and promoter, Catch23 represents some of the hottest talent in dance music, managing the likes of Jay Cunning, Rico Tubbs, Breakspoll award-winner Lady Waks and exciting new act 2 Bit Thugs. Alrighty chaps and chapettes, this week Hubie Sounds returns to the Breakspoll-nominated Brapwaves for a special Breakspoll Warm Up Show! The polls are closed, the votes have been counted and the nominations are out… now all we can do is wait in sweaty-palmed anticipation to see who carries home the shiney little awards on the 26th!
So, in order to stave off the madness that results from such a level of anxiety, I shall attempt to appease your impatience with two hours of breakbeaty wonder this Saturday night!
That’s right, I’m gonna spin a fine selection of good old fashioned breaks from yesteryear and today which should keep your toes tapping and your booties bouncing right up to next Thursday when all that anticipation and excitement can be released in an orgy of breakbeat-fuelled boogying and drunken depravity! Oh yes.
