Ho Ho hello everyone.
As I’m sure you’re all aware, it’s that time of the year when a large proportion of society go mad with excitement about the birth of a special person who, a long time ago, grew up to do some amazing things. This person was directly involved in the liberation of hundreds of thousands of people and is celebrated by millions more today. In fact, it’s fair to say that without this person and her extraordinary efforts, Luke Skywalker would have never blown up the Death Star and rid the galaxy of the evil Empire (whilst kissing his sister and killing his father along the way, but noone’s perfect).
Yes that’s right, this week a brand new Star Wars movie is released to its adoring fans, this time featuring a heroine whose destiny is to launch a scheme to steal the closely-guarded plans for the Death Star, thus sparking the key narrative to quite possibly the greatest space saga known to man and womankind. I will be joining in these celebrations by dedicating part of tonight’s radio show to the Rebels’ cause, with a few musical bits of a Star-Warsy nature. Oh and apparently it’s Christmas soon, so I’m going to play a few Christmassy bits too!
On top of all that, I’m going to announce my favourite Tunes of 2016 as well. So strap yourselves in, pour yourself something mulled, warm up a few mince pies and brace yourselves for a show packed full of galactic techy, housey, breaksy, funky, yuletide grooves!
